What an OnlyFans subscription actually costs in 2026 — we analyzed 100,208 creators

Everyone quotes the same recycled OnlyFans numbers. So we built our own dataset: 100,208 creators across 1,061 niches, scored on price, free/paid status, content volume and engagement. Here's what the platform actually looks like — not the headline myth. Every chart below is free to download or embed.

Key findings
  • The median paid subscription is $9.99/mo; 37% of creators run a free tier and monetize elsewhere.
  • 51% of creators have under 1,000 total likes. The median creator has just 905.
  • The top 1% of creators capture 35.5% of all engagement; the top 10% capture 82%.
  • That mirrors the earnings data: per OnlyFansStatistics.com, the median creator earns ~$180/yr while the average is $1,253.

What a subscription costs

OnlyFans lets creators set any price from $4.99 up. In practice, pricing clusters hard at the bottom: the median paid sub is $9.99, the average is $11.05, and a large share of creators skip a paywall entirely in favour of a free page plus pay-per-view.

Most creators are very small

The "OnlyFans millionaire" is real but rare. Measured by total likes — the only public engagement signal — the platform is an extreme long tail. 51% of the creators we track sit under 1,000 likes, and the median is 905.

The 1% problem

Concentration is the real story of the creator economy. If engagement were evenly distributed, the curve below would sit on the dashed diagonal. Instead it sags hard: the top 1% of creators hold 35.5% of all likes, and the top 10% hold 82%. The economics follow the attention — which is why the median earner makes so little.

What this means if you're subscribing

Two takeaways. First, you rarely need to pay full price blind — 37% of creators have a free tier, and free-tier coverage is even higher in some niches, so you can vet a page before spending. Second, "big" doesn't mean "best for you": the most-followed 1% dominate the charts, but our six-factor niche rankings surface specialists who over-deliver at the $9.99 median. Start with the data, then the reviews.

Methodology & how to cite

Figures are computed from BFR's dataset of 100,208 unique public OnlyFinder creator listings across 1,061 niches, captured 2026-06-05. Per-creator metrics dedupe creators listed in multiple niches. These are public listing & activity aggregates (subscription price, free/paid status, photo and video counts, like totals) — not private earnings. Earnings benchmarks are sourced from OnlyFansStatistics.com.
